Systems Administrator
Key Role:
Manage the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more Windows operating systems. Conduct evaluation, integration, fielding, administration, maintenance, testing, and operation of networks, systems, and subsystems. Configure and maintain operational Windows, and virtual server environments. Work with DoD ACAS and HBSS products to perform system security scans and group policy updates and execute maintenance scripts and jobs. Work closely with the Information Assurance team to monitor system activity and modify configurations to respond to security threats and requirements, as needed. Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, interact with users, and evaluate vendor products. Coordinate hardware and software installation, provide backup recovery, and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Perform programming in an administrative language, participate in systems testing and document results, and provide advice and training to end-users. Maintain current knowledge of technologies, and participate in special projects, as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in systems administration and analysis
- Experience with working in a Windows server environment
- Knowledge of Windows Server OSes and basic AD roles and IIS
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Engineering or 9 years of experience in systems administration and analysis in lieu of a degree
- Security Certification
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with supporting Linux OSes
- Experience with Cloud and AWS
- Experience with implementing STIGS and executing ACAS scans
- MCSA 2008 or 2012 Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
