The Opportunity:
As a business analyst, you analyze information technology (IT) requirements in business processes, through requirements elicitation, solutions identification, risk analysis, and collaboration across IT teams. Your primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, conducting statistical analysis, and building high quality visualizations in a laboratory environment. In an increasingly connected world, massive amounts of structured and unstructured data open new opportunities. As a business analysis at Booz Allen, you’ll help devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capability and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. This includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
On our team, you’ll use your leadership skills and business analyst expertise to create real-world impact. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll lead the team in the development of requirements while assisting with formulating and defining systems scope and objective based on both user needs and understanding of applicable business systems and requirements. You will interface with programmers and analysts to explain potential solutions and prepare presentations on enhancements or alternatives. Finally, you will provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems and ensure those solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.
