As a systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to design and enhance established systems in support of the client's mission. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize a myriad of modified Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) electronics equipment, sensors, software sets, and warning systems geographically dispersed across a densely populated urban area and networked to a multi-service Joint Operations Center. You’ll develop your skills in engineering and systems development while gaining experience in Electro-Optical/Infra-Red (EO/IR), networks and interoperability across the DoD enterprise. Grow your skills by merging engineering, computer science and systems integration to create enhancements, isolate system deficiencies and distinguish between system hardware, software, and support systems faults. You Have:
- 2 years of experience with electronics, mechanical, or IT and technical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and operations
- Ability to perform troubleshooting, maintenance, replacement, and repair activities atop elevated antenna platforms, water towers, and commercial building structures at heights up to 150ft after receiving appropriate firm-provided training and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) approved Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS) equipment
- Ability to lift and carry Information Technology (IT) assets and maintenance tools, without assistance, with equipment weighing up to 40lbs
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, management, or project management field
- Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II networking certification or DoD 8140 System Administrator (451) certification within 90 days of hire
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with ERSA, Long-Range, Mid-Range and Short-Range surveillance systems, including Infrared (IR) and DLTV/VCS camera systems
- Experience in computer maintenance and UNIX, Linux, Cisco and Windows Network Operating Systems
- Experience with HVAC units, Intrusion Detection Systems, or Surveillance Systems
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting air defense weapon systems, Radars, surveillance sensors, or tactical networks
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing of RF systems, cables, and connectors
- Knowledge of the use of radio encryption devices
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
