The Receptionist operates a multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls, answers general questions, and direct callers to appropriate personnel by performing the following duties.
Key measures of success include:
- Follows instructions, responds to management directions.
- Identifies and resolves problems/tasks in a timely manner.
- Be recognized by team, peers, and management as a key supporter.
Responsibilities:
- Answers incoming telephone calls, determines the purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department.
- Acquires and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel is unavailable.
- Answers questions about MVT and provides callers with addresses, directions, and other information.
- Welcomes on-site visitors, determines the nature of business and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
- Collects all timesheets from the El Paso office and sends them to Las Cruces Payroll.
- Answers simple and straightforward Dispatching and Customer Service questions.
- Assists users with the fax machine, send faxes and retrieves and routes incoming faxes.
- Creates and prints fax cover sheets, memos, correspondence, and other documents when necessary.
- Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and organizing.
- Receives, sorts, and distributes mail throughout the office.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
