Job purpose
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven ” individual to join as a Vibration Lab Technician . The Vibration Lab Technician will support dynamics testing, vibration and shock, for products such as e_motors, power electronics modules, and engine controller programs. This support will involve preparing for, setting up, and performing dynamics testing. This will also require the organization and documentation of the test results. Our unique environment allows for a combination of desk and hands-on work. This position involves interaction in a team environment with members both within Validation and other areas of the company. We are seeking a highly motivated individual that demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret customer/internal test specifications
- Perform mechanical test setups on the equipment
- Execute vibration and shock testing
- Gather and document test results
- Perform general equipment repair and maintenance
- Follow company policies and housekeeping
What we’re looking for
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates degree in engineering related field preferred
- 0 - 3 years experience in dynamics testing
- Automotive experience preferred
- General electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer skills – Microsoft office
- Self-motivated and detail oriented
- Ability to work overtime or come in during off shifts to check on tests if necessary
