The West Coast Warehouse and Project Manager will be responsible for the set-up of a new west coast warehouse that they will ultimately be responsible for the day-to-day operations. While ramping up the project and operations on the west coast, this individual will support the implementation and development of the West Memphis Foreign Trade Zone and the changing strategy for Direct-to-Consumer deliveries in North America. Strong candidates will be able to manage both with and without authority to drive implementation and compliance to robust metrics, processes, and foreign trade requirements.
- Implementation project management of West Coast Warehouse, Foreign Trade Zone, and direct-to-consumer deliveries
- Provide site leadership steering through observation of metrics, processes, and safety issues that will also identify appropriate training to support associate and site development
- Develop, implement, and maintain West Coast Warehouse site vision that supports business strategies/growth and meets customer requirements
- Drive Lean in Warehousing throughout the organization utilizing 6S, Visualization, PointCIP, Root Cause Analysis, Value Stream Mapping, etc
- Work with facility Controller to develop annual Budget and Business Plan. Monitor and take corrective actions to ensure completion of financial objectives based on the Business Plan and changing business requirements.
- Work with Staff and PTNA Brands to develop processes according to individual customer requirements that are innovative and failure-safe to increase customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain safe, environmentally friendly, and ergonomically designed processes for the distribution of finished product and Distribution Services & Postponement manufacturing. Provide safe/secure workplace for Bosch associates as well as protect Bosch assets according to and in compliance with Bosch requirements/norms.
Required
- Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or Operations
- Retail logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations.
- Problem solving and continuous improvement mindset
- Digital mindset; drive the use of new tools
- Strong working experience with MS Office
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a strong coaching/leadership skills. Must be “big picture” oriented, but also be detail-minded and possess excellent follow-up skills.
- Knowledge of budgets and financial statements
- Previous experience in leadership/management of a team
- Up to 50% travel for first 1 to 2 years during set-up of new warehouse; following start of operation travel will reduce to 10% to 15% per year.
Preferred
- Experience in SAP or similar ERP systems
- APICS, IBF Certification
- Masters Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or Operations
