About the role:
Responsible for training team members to execute manual and clerical duties, which may utilize computers in the preparation of materials used in Production. Typically, each workday involves distribution of components to be assembled prior to Production.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Training department transfers and new hires within all Picking/Breakdown operations and warehouse safety regulations.
- Operate as an extension to the management team and their core values which include holding team members accountable to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Track new employee performance and monitor their progress during training.
- Pulls raw materials from bins using a pick list (e.g., identifying the specific part number, lot number, quantity and location of all items on an order) to fill the customer orders.
- Transports material (e.g., production and non-production materials) upon request, using a forklift or pallet jack, to the designated location.
- Performs SAP transactions to clearly identify status of product.
- Reads, comprehends and follows basic job instructions and/or protocols including verbal, written, diagramed, colored and other related documents; written in English.
- Must comply with requirements of ISO 14001:2004 and BSC Environmental, Health and Safety standards and follow procedures and instructions related to these standards.
Required qualifications:
- High School Graduate or equivalent required with 2 years' experience.
- Ability to read/write English to complete paperwork and interpret procedure; good verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is a plus.
- Strong teamwork
Preferred qualifications:
- Proficiency in SAP and WM
- Experience working in Medical Device Manufacturing; preferably Boston Scientific, Alpharetta site.
