Now, our Alumni Relations team is looking for an Alumni Relations Associate who will provide support in the planning and operations of small and large-scale events that engage BU alumni world-wide.
Alumni Relations at Boston University
Alumni Relations at Boston University is responsible for connecting with, engaging, and helping foster lifetime connections with the 350,000 Boston University Alumni across the globe. Alumni Relations is the first point of contact for alums looking to reconnect or engage with their alma mater through educational programs, special events, Alumni Weekend, Global Days of Service, Career and Business networking, volunteer opportunities, and Affinity Networks.
Alumni Relations Associate
The Alumni Relations Associate for Programs & Events is an essential position within the Alumni Relations team responsible for providing support in the planning and operations of small and large-scale events that engage BU alumni world-wide. Signature programs include Alumni Weekend and Global Days of Service that are instrumental to alumni engagement. In addition, this position also provides support for alumni programs including but not limited to Agganis Family Skate, annual athletics events, as well as social, cultural, and educational events. The Alumni Relations Associate is responsible for coordination of event logistics with vendors, providing in-depth data analysis on registrations and event attendance data; creation and management of event registration pages; creation and maintaining event web site pages; and event data entry.
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage registration pages and websites for global events, ongoing website maintenance and updates, transitioning websites once events have concluded, set up “get notified” pages and responsible for registration batching and managing student workers/casual/temp employees on batching process.
- Report weekly number update reports on registrations and provides post-event data analysis including overseeing patterns and trends in registrations.
- Assist with creation of email, print, and social media marketing schedules; copywriting and copyediting for emails, proofing test emails, and managing communications team on email timelines and schedules and builds and manages queries and lists for all print and digital marketing
- Manage invoices, FSRs, ISRs, overseeing budgets/funds including managing funds transfers, credit card transactions and shopping carts.
- Oversee third-party relationships regarding event materials and rentals (balloons, boat cruises, hotels, photography, transportation, etc.).
- Manage all logistics and relationships with on-campus and partners (catering, parking, videos, student groups, staffing, space reservations, facilities, etc.). Manage student workers/casual/temp workers in assisting questions that come through inbox and phone from alumni who have questions or need help registering for events.
