We are looking to hire a part-time travel coordinator and agent. We thought we would reach out to those who know our product. This is the perfect job for you if you enjoy fast-paced work, enjoy working with people, are very organized, and flourish with a high degree of independence. We have a pretty relaxed office environment so you must be a self-starter and able to finish tasks before deadlines without being micromanaged. You need to be very comfortable with excel spreadsheets and fairly comfortable with technology. If you have social media marketing experience, that is a bonus.
This position is a part-time position working from our office in West Jordan. Hours may vary according to our needs; but you can expect to work about 30 hours per week. This is not a remote job. You must be able to work in the office most of the time.
Responsibilities:
You will be primarily responsible for all of the follow-up in preparing our groups to travel to Israel and other locations. Some of the required tasks are as follows:
- Collecting passport and flight information.
- Making sure final payments have been made by our guests.
- Creating rooming, passport and flight lists to send to tour operators.
- Working with our bookkeeper to make sure vendors have been paid.
- Coordinating with our shore excursion agent to make sure we don't overbook tours.
You will also have typical travel agent responsibilities, such as the following:
- Answer phone calls to help our guests book tours/cruises.
- Be able to answer guest questions about tour itineraries, travel insurance, tour & cruise schedules.
- Take payments and make bookings in our client manager software.
- Ability to leave for 8-12 days at a time as support staff for our tours and cruises which can involve walking 4-7 miles per day.
Qualifications:
- Self-starting multi-tasker who is very organized. You will be coordinating many trips at the same time.
- Prior experience in selling travel-related products and services including cruises, hotels, and land tours is preferred.
- Good communication skills, verbal and written. Patient, flexible and good-natured.
- Proficient with Microsoft products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
