Job: Recruiting Manager


Position Overview:

Bowers is hiring an experienced and motivated Recruiting Manager with a background in professional service firms to lead our talent acquisition efforts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the professional services industry and its unique staffing requirements. You will be responsible for developing and executing effective recruitment strategies to attract top-tier accounting professionals, fostering strong relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders, and ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Recruitment Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to understand current and future talent needs.
  • Develop comprehensive recruitment plans aligned with business goals, considering seasonal demands.
  • Stay up to date on benefits and compensation of competing regional firms and provide benchmarking data to senior leadership and recommendations for adaptions to remain competitive.
  • Provide regular reporting to leadership on recruitment KPIs and progress.


Talent Sourcing and Acquisition:

  • Proactively identify, source, and engage passive and active candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals.
  • Utilize Handshake to manage, hire, and recruit seasonal interns with the intent of hiring them as long-term employees.
  • Conduct thorough candidate assessments to ensure alignment with role requirements and organizational culture.


Candidate Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates at all stages of the recruitment process.
  • Provide candidates with insights into the organization's culture, career growth opportunities, and benefits.
  • Develop relationships with higher education institutions in Syracuse, Rochester, and Watertown markets, including career services teams, student advisors, and professors.


Interview and Selection Process:

  • Coordinate interview schedules with candidates, hiring managers and firm stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to design interview processes that accurately evaluate candidates' technical and cultural fit.
  • Facilitate interview debriefs and provide valuable feedback to candidates throughout the interviewing process.


Employer Branding:

  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager to enhance the company's reputation as an employer of choice within the public accounting field.
  • Develop and maintain compelling job descriptions and career-related content.
  • Select and order branded materials to be given out at events and career fairs.
  • Register for, plan, and staff recruiting events and tradeshows.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Communications, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of [3] years of experience in recruitment and/or sales and selling strategy is preferred.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful recruitment and/or sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Ability to be highly efficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, ADP, and various related software.


Pay Range:

  • $70,000 – $100,000
  • Potential for commissions on Manager and Partner level hires
