Position Title: Cashier
We are looking for Cashiers who enjoy working with the public and have a friendly, outgoing personality. Our Cashier’s focus is to achieve a best in class customer experience that exceeds our customer’s expectations time and time again. The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, displays a positive attitude and has great attention to detail.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting customers and conducting transactions.
- Operates Point of Sale/cash register, scanner, credit card/debit card terminal and fuel console accurately and efficiently.
- Performs basic math functions to collect payments and make change.
- Promotes a positive team environment.
- Performs light paperwork duties as assigned.
- Maintains a professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Maintains a well-organized, safe and clean work environment.
- Promotes the rewards program as well as approved merchandise or marketing programs.
- Follows company policies as well as industry, sanitation and safe food handling procedures.
- Completes all other tasks and activities assigned by Management.
Prerequisites:
Education: Some high school or equivalent.
Experience & Skills: Prior cash handling experience preferred but not required.
Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction.
Physical: Must be able to work any area of the store when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register.
Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
