Corporate Pastry Chef - Mexican Pastries Orange County CASalary : $90000 - $130000
Incredibly rare opportunity for a Mexican pastry and dessert specialist! This is a new creative role to innovate for a longstanding brand that is restructuring and elevating offerings.
A strong knowledge of and experience with Mexican pastry is required, including but not limited to : cake, pan dulce, gelatins, flan, and more.
While primarily focused on R&D, this role is also involved in overall oversight of the pastry program and collaborates closely with other departments like training to ensure the recipes can be executed at a high level.

Corporate Pastry Chef Responsibilities :
- Create and innovate new recipes, seasonal specials, menus and programs for pastry team
- Effectively communicate and build relationships across corporate and field leadership
- Develop and collaborate on training materials and SOPS including but not limited to providing instruction for other pastry team members at both leadership level and hourly, that may include hands-on demonstration
- Actively stay abreast of market trends, guest feedback, and industry offerings
- Work with marketing to implement new ideas, offerings, and corresponding milestone calendars for upcoming launches
- Direct and advise on all aspects of pastry and bakery programs, including but not limited to execution, safety & sanitation, equipment recommendations, and future hiring needs
- Oversee sales and profits for pastry program as while to ensure it aligns with business goals (menu pricing, item costing, etc)
Corporate Pastry Chef Qualifications :
- Mexican pastry and baking experience required, including knowledge of regional foods of Mexico
- Spanish speaking ideal, but not required
- Past production and / or commissary experience preferred
- 3 years experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or Head Baker with multifaceted programs OR 1 year prior experience as a Corporate Pastry Chef or Director of Bakery Operations
- Solid leadership acumen and ability to collaborate with diverse teams, including ability to speak to individuals at different corporate and field levels
- High attention to detail, organization, and able to prioritize different projects
Compensation includes :
- Base salary in the $90-130k range
