THE OPPORTUNITY
Must be able to overlap Hawaiian Standard Time at least 3 hours per day
Experience Required:
○ Expertise architecting highly available and reliable databases
○ Demonstrated Postgres database design and deployment expertise in an
enterprise environment
○ Logical and physical database design
○ Capacity planning
○ Database backup and recovery including disaster recovery
○ Database security including Role-based access control (RBAC) and encryption
○ Familiarity with SDLC and 1 or more development methodologies
○ Ability to effectively communicate goals and design decisions to all project
stakeholders
○ Familiarity with automated software deployment tools
○ Experience with one or more scripting languages
Nice to have:
○ Experience with one or more DbaaS platforms
○ Familiarity with other RDBMS and/or NoSQL platforms
○ Experience in the commercial airline industry

What will you be working on?
- Database design and infrastructure configuration
- They are looking for a real Architect: leading design sessions, decomposing a
high-level objective into concrete designs, selecting, or creating, necessary
tooling and procedures, etc. Our client wants to couple those skills with experience on
running Postgres for highly available, missing critical workloads. - They already have people in house that have setup a number of PG systems, but
they do not currently have anyone that has done so for a tier 1 use case. They do not just want someone to help us build the system, They want someone to help us figure out what to build and how.
