What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welding Lead Hand (2nd Shift) position at Brandt?
Brandt is currently seeking a Fabrication Lead Hand for their Hudson, IL location. This position is responsible for following each week’s production schedule and ensuring production orders are completed on time and meet the current prescribed standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with mentoring new/current welders to ensure all production procedures and safe work practices are followed
- Follow production schedule as laid out by foreman
- Bring new cost saving ideas to the attention of the Fabrication Supervisors/Managers
- Ensure all products are built to Brandt standards
- Promote/practice 5S/Lead initiatives
- Report any unsafe actions, damage to company property, and other issues to the Fabrication Supervisors/Managers
- Keep Foremen and Supervisors aware of the status of the production schedule
- Ensure standard work agreements are being adhered to for each area owner
- Other duties as assigned
