What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Environmental Specialist position at Branex Group?
The Lead Environmental Specialist will oversee the day-to-day operations and compliance to the environmental regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with cross-functional department managers in the plant to help maintain, achieve, and improve the environmental conditions in the area
Partner with the Health & Safety department to create and maintain a strong Environmental, Health and Safety culture * Ensure that all yearly environmental permits (TCEQ, SWPPP, SPCC plan) are submitted for approval and coordinate ISO14001 and 50001 certification
- Facilitate Environmental training classes
- Develop environmental strategies, plan and execute projects. Provide expertise to projects and key risk areas
- Perform environmental assessments and studies
- Collaborate with company’s Corporate environmental team on North America strategies and initiatives
- Accountable for compliance with all applicable regulatory, plant and corporate EHS, OSHA & Security related policies and procedures
- Establish environmental goals for the facility and develop programs to achieve the goals
- Perform daily/weekly/monthly monitoring of environmental measurements and reporting these numbers to plant and corporate
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and resourcing environmental services in alignment with Manufacturing 4.0 principals
- Maintain and promote a team relationship within the site operations team
- Conduct water and environmental quality testing in an outdoor environment
- Execution and monitoring of Plant's Waste Management Plan
- Work with local government organizations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 8 years of environmental health and safety experience in manufacturing facility
- 1 year of lead experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
