JOB SUMMARY:
Under general direction, implements and assists in the development of customer and product-based strategies for specific products/commodities. Acts as a liaison between TransNav PVL divisions and affiliates, customers and internal department personnel in managing daily program issues. Interfaces with program management team to support in coordinating activities between customer engineering, TransNav PVL engineering, material management, quality and manufacturing areas pertaining to delivery, timing, meeting customer requirements, quality and obsolescence. Establishes and coordinates attainment of project management schedules.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Implements and assists in the development of customer and product-based strategies for specific products/commodities. Negotiates product and related design issues with customer and affiliates. Ensures program deliverables and assignments are on time and to the customer’s requirements.
2. Creates, maintains and integrates professional project planning utilizing program tools to manage individual programs. Informs the functional management of the progress being made toward each milestone within the program.
3. Conducts weekly touchpoints with the customer to provide timelines for both active programs and engineering changes.
4. Interfaces with all manufacturing facilities and to provide program management support in all activities from initial product concept to product phase out.
5. Manage pre-production and production builds with the plants utilizing engineering resources.
6. Ability to hold the plant accountable for APQP activities and meeting client build milestones.
7. May provide guidance to and/or mentor lower-level colleagues.
MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATIONAL & TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three to five years of related experience working with customer program teams. Previous related experience within the automotive industry preferred.
MINIMUM LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Negotiation skills to resolve difficult or complicated situations that are often sensitive in nature. Recognizes and applies subtle cues in anticipating customers’ needs and potential next steps. Acts as subject matter expert.
Customer service skills to promote and support a service-oriented environment and encourage others to improve and refine their service actions. Measures personal success by customers’ achievements. Acts as a resource to internal customers in identifying and solving customer issues.
Project management skills including the ability to define program, project or process objectives, identify customers interests, plan steps, and to coordinate resources to accomplish goals and objectives in an effective and timely manner.
Willingness and ability to travel – perhaps up to 40% of the time with no international travel restrictions
Demonstrated knowledge of program management principles and request for quotation (R.F.Q.) and contract review processes.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
