Position summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Engineer to lead and oversee our company's quality management processes. The Quality Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring that our products and services meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and compliance with industry regulations. This individual will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of excellence throughout the organization. The role will monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system, producing data and reporting on performance, measuring against set standards & metrics. Principal functional responsibilities: Quality Control Management: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality control system that covers all aspects of our products and services. Lead all aspects of inspection and testing procedures to ensure products meet established quality standards. Analyze and interpret quality data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for efficiency gains. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to address quality issues and drive corrective and preventive actions. Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, streamline processes, and increase overall operational efficiency. Implement quality assurance strategies and methodologies to achieve optimal results. Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to employees at all levels to promote a culture of quality awareness and excellence. Conduct workshops or training sessions on quality management principles and practices. Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain high-quality standards for incoming materials and components. Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure alignment to quality requirements. Compliance and Regulation: Stay up to date with industry regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance with relevant quality requirements. Establish and maintain necessary documentation, records, and certifications to demonstrate compliance with quality standards and regulations. Customer Satisfaction: Monitor and analyze customer feedback and complaints related to product quality, working closely with customer support teams to resolve issues promptly. Implement measures to enhance customer satisfaction through improved product quality. Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate regular reports on key quality metrics, trends, and improvement initiatives for senior management. Present findings and recommendations to management, providing practical insights for decision-making. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree and or related field Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Quality Engineering role Working knowledge of PPAP, Control Plans, SPC, APQP, and other quality statistical tools Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships, while working collaboratively with cross-functional business teams Demonstrated ability to maintaining high standards of quality throughout the organization. Preferred qualifications: A.S.Q. certification as a quality engineer Certified in Six Sigma Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and quality standards.
