The General Manager will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the California region, aligning the organization to achieve company goals, and driving sales growth through a customer-centric approach. Experience in the process control industry is highly valued, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish annual sales and bookings budgets for each representative and distributor within the region.
- Lead and direct the sales team in growing existing accounts and penetrating new markets.
- Develop strategic plans aligned with customer and market requirements, while addressing competitive factors.
- Promote seminars and plant tours for key customers to enhance engagement and foster relationships.
- Coordinate leads and follow-up activities, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor field service issues and collaborate on appropriate resolutions.
- Foster strong product knowledge among the team, promoting all products, programs, and policies effectively.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field of study preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales management experience in a related industry.
- Ability to travel between the two sales offices (Ontario, CA and Pleasanton, CA).
- Industry knowledge or experience with HVAC, food and water.
- Proven performance in sales leadership, with a strong drive for results and a positive outlook. Growth mindset.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Microsoft D365, and Teams.
- Background in automation and process control is required.
- Ability to travel by auto and plane, with access to a personal vehicle for sales and service calls.
- Valid driver’s license and compliance with Bray’s Drivers Policy.
- Successful completion of a credit check during the background verification process.
