An Account Director for our Travel team is a jack of all trades, master of their domain, captain of the ship and has a proven background getting those big hits for clients. Your jam is working in the travel and tourism space for destinations and hotels big and small. You are dialed into your teams’ and clients’ needs and can’t get enough of current travel trends and culture. You like to go big – because going home isn’t an option. You’re a problem solver and always come to the table with a solution, an inspiring leader and keeper of long-standing, meaningful relationships with media and industry leaders. An AD for bread & Butter should be thoughtful, goal oriented, have an almost obsessive attention to detail, be a risk taker, dream maker and, most importantly, be excited about what bread & Butter is and what it will be.
Available Opportunity:
An Account Director for bread & Butter is responsible for overseeing the needs of the client daily through creation and execution of overall campaign strategy, as well as new business development, working with teams on leads, proposals, budgets and growth. Account Directors will serve as representatives of the company and as a senior leader for account teams. An Account Director is responsible for ensuring the company voice is observed on both a team and client level, focusing on best practices, communication amongst the teams, effective ways of working and ownership of employee professional development. Account Directors oversee the work of Account Supervisors and/or Senior Account Executives and report to the Executive or Managing Director.
Here’s What We Need:
- 8-10 years of travel PR experience, preferably with agency vs. in-house
- The ability to seamlessly manage up to 4 employees and touch up to 15+ accounts on a regular basis.
- Knows how to maintain and maximize relationships with high-level national and international print, online, and broadcast media, pitching in to secure media coverage alongside the teams.
- A passion for cultivating talent and helping our teams grow.
- A travel junkie who would and has traveled far for their favorite dish. Has the scoop on the next best hotel in town and knows exactly where to stay when they head out of town for fun because all things travel is their job AND their passion.
- Appreciates the art of dotting I’s and crossing T’s. The devil is in the details.
- Media junkie - there’s no such thing as reading/watching too much. Bonus points for pop culture acumen.
- Leads teams by example, showcasing professionalism, punctuality and problem solving while maintaining a sense of humor.
- Has the ability to really dig deep into client goals to help teams secure meaningful and impactful press placements that drive business and make b&B invaluable to our clients and to media.
- Enjoys helping teams create and tailor, effective comprehensive media plans and pitches that are creative, thoughtful and help move clients toward their goals.
- Be the sounding board and resource for clients, leading the teams on calls, in meetings and knowing when to shift course to get back on track.
