This position is responsible for full life cycle recruiting on a portfolio spanning a range of functions, including fundraising, research & mission, government relations & advocacy, finance, IT, marketing & communications, and other areas. Position will build strong working relationships with key managers in the organization to ensure talent needs are clearly understood and prioritized, develop strategies to identify and recruit top talent, share expertise on the recruitment and interview process, ensure a positive experience for all candidates and networking contacts, and drive the recruitment process to a successful hire in a timely manner.
Specific Responsibilities Include
The range for this position is $40 -$50/hr.

Specific Responsibilities Include
- Managing relationships with hiring manager to develop strong partnerships with hiring managers to influence the use of best practices in the recruitment process and the candidate experience.
- Ensure regular communication with hiring managers; follow up throughout the assignment to ensure the process is moving forward. Proactively take the lead to collaborate with HR partners on required recruitment steps such as referencing, assessments, background checks, etc.
- Interview candidates (by phone, video or in person); share feedback and recommendations with hiring managers. Ensure candidates are promptly informed about next steps or when they are no longer under consideration.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure a diverse slate of candidates for consideration.
- Proactively identify candidates through targeted networking and sourcing utilizing various recruitment techniques such as online research, LinkedIn, industry associations and other resources.
- Optimize job postings (internally and externally) for assigned vacancies to ensure a robust applicant pool. Monitor results of job postings and proactively adjust strategies as necessary.
- Utilizing JDRF’s applicant tracking system (Workday), efficiently screen resumes to identify key competencies/skills sets. Ensure that Workday is being leveraged as a tool for communication and transparency (internally and externally) and for tracking potential candidates for future opportunities.
- Accurately explain important employment information during delivery of employment offers (i.e. benefits, compensation, non-competition agreements, etc.) Lead development and delivery of employment offers while collaborating with the hiring manager and HRBP.
- Ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations including Affirmative Action Plan compliance.
- 5 years recruiting experience within a national organization (in house) or an executive search agency. Experience leading searches across a range of functional areas is a must. Experience with non-profit organizations highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in Workday applications a must.
- Experience in areas that promote broader talent acquisition goals, such as employer branding, metrics, interview skills training, candidate assessments, etc.
