Responsibilities:
- Decorate cakes according to customer requests and design specifications
- Use various techniques and tools to create visually appealing cake designs
- Ensure cakes are completed in a timely manner to meet customer deadlines
- Collaborate with the bakery team to ensure all cake orders are fulfilled accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cake decorating area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines while handling and preparing cakes
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with cake selection and answering any questions they may have
Experience:
- Previous experience in cake decorating or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of different icing techniques, piping, and cake decoration tools
- Familiarity with food industry standards and regulations for food handling and preparation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong creativity and artistic skills to create unique cake designs
- Experience working in a kitchen or restaurant setting is a plus
- Basic cooking skills and knowledge of different flavors and ingredients used in cake baking
