The Role ofU18 Physiotherapist(FullTime)

Brentford Football Clubis enjoying the most exciting period in its history and werelooking for an accomplished Physiotherapist to join ourteam.

Working within the Academy MedicalDepartment reporting to the Head of Academy Medicine &Sports Science the role will be responsible for the development anddelivery of physiotherapy services to squads across the Academy agegroups.

We are looking for a proactive individualwith a forwardthinking and problemsolving attitude and who seeks todevelop their skills.

MainAccountabilities

  • Toensure that any concerns you observe or are raised with you in yourrole are shared with the Safeguarding Team through appropriatechannels.
  • To provide musculoskeletaldiagnosis treatment and rehabilitation to all U18players.
  • To provide matchday cover for the U18players both home and away as required.
  • Toperform clear and structured injury assessments to ensure accurateinjury diagnosis and associated detailed rehabilitationplans.
  • To provide gym and pitchbasedrehabilitation and work as part of a multidisciplinary team toensure optimal transition from rehabilitation into the technicalprogramme.
  • To develop and implement injuryprevention strategies alongside coaches and performancestaff.
  • Understanding of growth and maturationand its implications on the development ofathletes.
  • To perform daily medical emergencyequipment checks.
  • To work as part of amultidisciplinary team including doctors performance staff andcoaching staff to optimise player physical development andperformance.
  • To maintain up to date medicalrecords using the Kitman Labs / PMA medical recordssystem.
  • Ensure individual qualificationstraining and CPD requirements are kept up to date and in line withany applicable regulations.
  • Awareness of theexpectations of a Category 2 Academy (transitioning to Category 1)according to the EPPP.
  • Any other relevanttasks and duties as directed by senior Academy or FootballDepartmentmanagement.

  • Toensure compliance with all relevant Club policies including healthand safety policies and with specific reference to the dataregulations.
  • To ensure compliance with allrelevant legal regulatory ethical and social requirements.

  • Topromote equity diversity and inclusion at the Club in line with ourEDI strategy
  • To build and maintain good workingrelationships both internally and externally maintaining aprofessional image at all times when representing BrentfordFC
  • To keep confidential any information gainedregarding the Club and its personnel.
  • Tomaintain a flexible approach to work at all times.
  • Any other relevant tasks and duties asdirected by your linemanager

PersonSpecification Essential PersonalCharacteristics

  • BScPhysiotherapy Degree
  • A minimum 3 years postqualification experience
  • Intermediate TraumaMedical Management in Football (ITMMiF) with capability to achieveATMMiF
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule withunsociable hours including weekend and eveningcover
  • Ability to work in a team andindependently on own initiative
  • Highlyorganised with strong communication and time managementskills

PersonSpecification DesirableCharacteristics

  • MSc inrelevant subject
  • Experience of working inprofessional sports environment (preferably football)
  • FA Safeguarding Certification
  • Evidence of CPDportfolio
