Aquatic and Exercise Instructor II

Under the direction of Hillcrest’s Health & Fitness Coordinator, the Aquatic & Fitness Center (AFC) Instructor II leads older adult participants in land- and pool-based group fitness classes, works individually with clients (i.e., personal training), and assists with office tasks at the Front Desk at our Aquatic & Fitness Center. Additional duties may include: greeting residents and visitors, assisting with membership procecesses, and completing other office work, helping with special projects or special events, and other work as assigned.

Qualifications

• A minimum of three (3) year’s experience in leading group fitness and/or aquatic fitness classes is required.
• Applicant must be proficient in basic swimming skills.
• Fitness or aquatic teaching certification required.
• CPR and First-Aid certification required.
• Hillcrest will conduct a criminal background screening (fingerprinting through the Department of Justice and FBI).
• Office or administrative support experience, including standard computer software (i.e., internet, email, MS Office, etc.), is preferred.
• Above all, this individual should be outgoing and service-oriented and enjoy working with the older adult population.

This is an part-time position (i.e., working between 16 - 29 hours/week). Starting rate of pay is dependent on experience, training, and expertise: $25.00 - $26.25 per hour.
