TITLE:
Compliance Officer
LOCATION:
17-17 Broadway, Fairlawn NJ 07410
FSLA CLASSIFICATION:
Exempt; salaried and not eligible for over-time. Occasional weekends with notice.
SUMMARY:
Ensures that Broadway programs and services conform to internal and external standards of excellence, meet program requirements, are free from major flaws or impediments, and satisfy stated or implied needs of participants, their caregivers, staff, and funding sources by providing training, tools, techniques, data analysis and recommendations.

Executive Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree in social services preferred or equivalent work experience. Five years’ experience in the area of quality/risk management; able to analyze data collection forms, methods, procedures, techniques and workflow to identify and resolve problems; extensive knowledge of and direct experience in the field of developmental disabilities including experience in the monitoring and/or evaluation of clinical or human services records and/or programs; demonstrated knowledge and abilities as outlined below. Reliable transportation required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
& ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Responsible for visiting group homes and adult training centers on a monthly basis to ensure State Licensing and Broadway standards are met.
2. Conduct regular audits of consumer charts and inspect physical environments to ensure they meet State Licensing and Broadway standards.
3. Collaborate with Operations/Facilities on Safety Inspections to develop recommendations for improvement and follow up.
4. Assists with the coordination between Office of Licensing and Broadway Program staff regarding scheduling, preparation, and follow-up of State Licensing activities.
5. Collaborates with Program Managers to evaluate licensing surveys and assist in developing plans of correction to ensure compliance.
6. Perform monthly quality checks on the Electronic Health Record (EHR) for data integrity and report back to Program Managers on findings.
7. Assist with the development of policies for new programs along with updating current policies.
8. Assists in the preparation of required programmatic monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for program and Board review.
9. Takes the lead for completion of UIR’s and internal investigations and ensures timely submission of reports.
10. Participate in agency committees, i.e., Quality Improvement, Human Rights, Behavior Management, Policy, Safety, Licensing/Accreditation, and other committees as assigned.
11. Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Executive Director.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
MS Office including intermedial Excel. Understanding of the important issues and trends relating to the field, and service provision to individuals with, developmental disabilities. Knowledge of and understanding of statistical methodology, analysis, evaluation, and reporting procedures. Demonstrated ability and knowledge of data management principles as they relate to the collection, interpretation, and distribution of data. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated. Demonstrated project management and data analysis skills. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Establish and maintain proper working relationships with program managers and directors, consumers, caregivers, parents, supervisors, co-workers, and staff.
