Director of Nursing (DON) Responsibilities:
- As our Director of Nursing (DON), you will supervise all nursing staff.
- You will plan, develop, organize, and implement the day-to-day functions of the nursing department.
- You will oversee your department budgets.
- You will communicate with doctors, residents, and family members about resident health.
- You will implement new procedures and training nurses on policies.
Director of Nursing (DON) Qualifications:
- 2 years' experience as a DON or an ADON in long term care.
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Illinois in good standing.
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment.
- Ability to build rapport with patients and staff.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
