What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Dental Assistant position at Brickell Dental Care?
MUST SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records using electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic)
- Assist with front office duties, including answering phone calls, verifying insurance coverage, and processing payments
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Current certification in dental radiography
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Proficiency in medical documentation and maintaining accurate medical records
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Please note that experience in pediatric dentistry and medical coding is a plus but not required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
