Terrific Principal position with a well known charter school network that has expanded to Washington, DC. This new school currently has students enrolled in Pre-K and 2nd grade, and they are planning to add a grade each year. The Principal will oversee the school's instructional program, develop the culture and climate, and be integrally involved in recruiting members of the team. Qualified candidates will have prior academic leadership experience, with time in a Principal role. Experience leveraging data to drive decision-making is critical for success. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the school's instructional program
- Establish the school's climate and culture
- Hire, manage, mentor and train academic and support staff, including founding team members
- Observe and coach teachers and support staff
- Leverage data to drive academic direction
- Engage with families and other community members to build strong relationships
Qualifications:
- Track record of success in a leadership position
- Thrives in a family-centric environment
- Charter school experience preferred, start-up experience a plus
