IT Specialist
Location: St. Paul, MN
Hours: 8-4, Monday - Friday
Compensation: 40-45k salary
Purpose Statement:
Provide technical assistance and customer service to end users. Answer questions and resolve computer problems in person, or via telephone or electronically. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, networking, printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, phones and operating systems (but not limited to).
Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Essential Functions)

Working in a team environment as well as individually

Completing work assigned by the IT Manager

Identify and support existing staff that are looking to gain experience in a technology area and utilize their goal of learning as a positive for the department

Manage new wireless phones, accounts and requests

Support and lead the implementation of new technology systems

Source and purchase necessary equipment

Track operational metrics to ensure operational SLAs are met and identify areas for improvement

Monitor and maintain incoming work queue to ensure effective prioritization and completion of support requests with in SLA requirements

Establish team roles and responsibilities, create accountability, and foster a positive working environment

Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, consultants, and coworkers to facilitate IT activities
Required Skills and Experience (Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge skills and abilities)

Great customer service skills

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to communicate a vision that inspires and motivates IT operations staff and aligns to the IT and business strategy
Additional Skills and Experience (Preferred or helpful)

4 year degree in related field

Minimum of 1 year at an IT help desk

Knowledge or Experience with administering Google Apps and Microsoft Office 365

Understand installation, configuration, and troubleshooting process for software, hardware, networking and accessory equipment

Basic helpdesk and troubleshooting skills
