On an average day as a RN On-Call Nurse, you will
- This role works a non-traditional schedule with hours outside of a typical 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- A common on-call schedule would be 5:00 p.m. 8:00 a.m. with 7 days on and 7 days off
- This is a salaried role
- Provide initial and ongoing assessment of the impact of the terminal diagnosis on daily living, and patient's physical, functional, spiritual, psycho-social, and environmental needs
- Partner with an interdisciplinary team to implement and manage plans of care, determining scope, priority, and frequency of services based on patient/family needs, and recommending revisions as necessary
- Consult with and educate the patient/family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, end-of-life care, and ethical concerns
- Communicate with the medical director and other clinicians regarding changes in patient needs and outcomes of intervention
- Prepare and submit documentation of observations, findings, and services provided
- And perform additional, related duties as needed

Desired Skills/Qualifications
- Must have an active RN license
- Ability to work outside of typical business hours
- Willingness to respond to our patients in their time of need
- Have a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation for the purpose of traveling to our patients
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to complete patient charting on a daily basis
