We are looking for a Global Director-Data & Analytics As the Global Director-Data & Analytics, the successful candidate will oversee the design, development, and deployment of data pipelines, data solutions/products, and overall end-to-end data architecture for an Enterprise Data Platform. The role also requires deep expertise in data architecture, cloud platforms and emerging data technologies to be able to drive value. This person is deeply technical and know how to use that knowledge to help guide technical direction for a large organization. What You’ll Do For Us In this role, your primary focus will be on turning strategic visions into reality through meticulous execution and management of our data strategy in alignment with the company's goals. Spearheaded operationalizing our end-to-end data product strategy, ensuring it perfectly mirrors the company’s strategic directions and aims. Evaluate and suggest appropriate data management tools/platforms to recommend analyses that can deliver results for the client. Take command of constructing and deploying robust, scalable, and secure data infrastructures. Execute Master Data Management (MDM) and Governance initiatives to guarantee data precision and uniformity across all levels of the organization. Ensure data systems and platforms are designed and implemented to support next-generation data and analytics capabilities. Act as a critical liaison between technical and non-technical teams, simplifying complex concepts and fostering data-driven decision-making. Lead the design, development and implementation of data architecture ensuring scalability and performance Develop end-to-end Business Intelligence framework based on requirements including recommending appropriate architecture (on-premises or cloud-based), analytics and reporting Work closely with the D&A Business and Technology teams to guide in-solution development and implementation Manage and lead a team of data engineers, facilitate people development and proactively ensure that development agenda is fulfilled for all team members. Regularly engage in peer level discussions with the C-Suite / C-1 Suite of client organizations, to partner with them as a trusted data management advisor. Ideally, You Have: Minimum of 12 years of experience in data engineering, with at least five years in a leadership role. Deep knowledge and expertise in the Data, Data lifecycle, Data Modeling and Data Consumption. Experience designing and implementing Data privacy, Data governance, Data Catalog & lineage programs. Deep knowledge of modern data stack and infrastructures, i.e., AWS Cloud, Data warehouse/Data Lake/Data Mesh, data integration tools, Airflow, DBT, Snowflake, Redshift, etc. Knowledge of patterns, architectures, and tools in the data domain. Experience with Kafka in a Production environment Business acumen with an understanding Retail, Product, and Finance landscapes Experience working directly with business partners and leaders and managing issue escalation. Experience managing and developing team members, mentoring colleagues to achieve career objectives, identifying and resolving performance issues. Prior experience as a hands-on software engineer in a cloud-first development environment. Experience with a product-led operating model Experience in designing logical & physical data design architectures in various RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL etc.), Non-RDBMS (MongoDB, Cassandra etc.) or Data Warehouse (Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake etc.) environments. In-depth knowledge of any one of cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for solution design, development, and delivery Experience and rolling out of a DevOps model and delivering Agile development tools. Experience implementing an Agile SDLC for data, including ceremonies, metrics, and quality processes. Strong ability to communicate cross-functionally, derive requirements and architect; to synthesize, simplify and explain complex problems to different types of audiences, including executives.
