The Staff Auditor’s role is to assist the Director of Internal Audit & System Integration as directed in all facets of designing, implementing and reporting on the Bristol Health annual Internal Audit Work Plan and annual Enterprise Risk Assessment process. Staff Auditor will also assist with other projects and initiatives as directed including, but not limited to: the annual Compliance Work Plan; Contract Management; Process Improvement; and System Integration efforts.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the conducting and reporting of the annual Enterprise Risk Assessment.
• Assist with design and implementation of the annual Internal Audit Work Plan with a heavy focus on Contract Compliance.
• Assist with internal control process and procedure reviews noting any gaps, omissions or opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with implementation of corrective action plans.
• Stay abreast of changes in health care laws and regulations. Complete research as directed.
• Assist with policy reviews and assessments. Draft policy proposals.
• Maintain responsibility for professional growth and development.
• Comply with all applicable organizational policies including the Code of Conduct.
• Exhibit reliability and continually foster a culture of excellence.
• Perform all other duties and tasks as directed.

Qualifications

Educational / Minimum Requirements:

B.S. In Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.

State/Federal Mandated Licensure or Certification Requirements:

None.

Bristol Hospital Mandated Educational Requirements:

General orientation at time of hire. Fire/Safety/Infection Control annually. Other programs as mandated by Hospital.

Special Requirements:

Strong PC skills with ability to create and analyze spreadsheets and other complex financial and operational data.  Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

Extended sitting, standing and walking.  Occasional lifting of office supplies and materials, usually under 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

Normal office conditions.
