What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Manager position at Broadhead Equipment?

Summary:
Under the supervision of the Business Manager, the Parts Manager is responsible for maintaining parts inventory and increasing parts sales both to our service department and to over the counter customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develops sales programs for fast moving parts such as spring service kits
  • Creates and places purchase orders from our vendors on a regular basis
  • Researches and process customer orders
  • Files parts warranties
  • Processes vendor returns/credits
  • Processes service department requests for parts
  • Manages inventory accuracy through cycle counts
  • Approves invoices for processing
  • Conducts annual performance reviews for parts sales representatives.
  • Recruits and trains new parts sales representatives in all phases of the parts department.
  • Keeps record of parts in stock and parts issued to customers
  • Prepares budget estimate for parts

Supervisory Responsibilities
The Parts Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Education and/or Experience
Associate’s degree from two-year college or university; or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Parts Sales and Organization: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)
