GENERAL SUMMARY:
A unique opportunity exists to join a team in creating a vibrant senior learning community on the campus of Purchase College, State University of New York. The residents of this university-based retirement community will be able to enjoy the many amenities of the college including the renowned Neuberger Museum of Art, the Performing Arts Center, the academic and athletic facilities, and the park-like campus. They will be able to enjoy all these benefits while living in a village designed specifically for their interests and needs. As part of the Purchase College community, Broadview residents will enjoy both formal and informal programming and collaborative opportunities designed to promote intergenerational engagement with members of the college community, ranging from classes and mentoring to providing employment opportunities for students. Broadview will offer the full continuum of services, inclusive of Independent Living, Assisted Living, Enhanced Assisted Living, and Memory Care. The community is slated to open to residents in the 3rd quarter 2023.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
Essential Job Duties:
- Report all new hires, status changes (leaves of absence, classification and wage changes) and changes in Engage PEO portal, (HRIS) for all Community employees.
- Ensure both the Community and statutory requirements for completion of all post offer/pre-employment checks (ie. criminal background, abuse and licensure checks, drug testing, health/communicable disease screenings) are requested and completed prior to new hire start date and documented accordingly.
- Posting & maintenance of all active job postings using Engage PEO Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Assist with planning and preparation of monthly New Hire Orientation (NHO) with the Community leadership and new hires.
- Purchasing of new hires laptops, swag, giveaways, & related recruiting supplies.
- Administers Purchase University MORE cards & Purchase College employee email accounts.
- Assist with employees’ training records and runs reports in Relias and SAGE to ensure renewals are timely.
- Tracks and maintenance of employee professional licenses, as needed.
- Provides all employees accurate information, such as benefits, and supports employees in their using the Engage PEO portal.
- Assists with planning and preparation of employee engagement functions at the Community.
- Serves as primary contact for scheduling interviews, events & coordinates monthly New Hire Orientations (NHO).
- Assist with timely job posting notices in employee Break Room and on the Community website.
- Maintain employee files according to company & NY State requirements, including Form I-9’s.
- Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by HRD or ED.

- AS degree required/ BA preferred.
- Will accept 3 years’ work experience in an HR professional environment, if no degree.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all Community members.
- Preference given to candidates with prior HR or Talent Acquisition/ Recruiting experience.
- Prior industry experience working in a senior living community or hospital setting a plus.
- The ability to speak, read and comprehend the English language
- Must be artistically creative, motivational, and energetic with a passion for serving others
- Must possess patience and sensitivity to others’ needs; ability to work with community groups; willingness to work beyond normal working hours
- Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and/or Adobe Reader
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products
- Familiarity with required electronics, including but not limited to iPads, tablets, smart TV’s and digital cameras
- Familiarity with social media preferred
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
