Up to $35 per hour $1.00 per hour for 2nd shift premium
Broadwind Heavy Fabrications is hiring! We are looking for a Machinist for our 2nd shift (Monday-Thursday 3pm-1am).The main focus of the Machinist is operating machinery to meet print/drawing specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS(May include some or all of the following responsibilities)
- Set-up, adjust and operate machine to run recurring projects according to project prints.This also requires set up of part on machining work area.
- Ability to read and understand machining print symbols necessary.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometer and calipers.
- Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
- Ability to safely operate overhead crane, scissor lift, and forklift equipment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two year technical degree in Machining or relevant experience required.
