What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Floor Supervisor position at Brook Valley Management?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* As part of our Store Management team, everything you do has a specific purpose that links productivity to business results in your store. Your role is to lend support to management for the sales floor, cashiers and select administrative functions.
* Responsible for the overall management and direction of cashiers and sales floor team members in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws. Accountability for verifying and documenting all cash management activities including counts, deposits, drops and petty cash as well as the overview of discounts, refunds, credits and audit balancing.
* Review Sales Floor daily to determine and assign areas to be dropped. Validate floor sections have been re-worked accordingly and communicate with Production Supervisor replenishment needs and objectives.
* Front End Supervisor has the responsibility to complete and submit all appropriate documentation to the home office for New Hires. In addition, manages all of the employee personnel files, time clock data, time off requests and payroll reports to ensure accurate reporting to the home office.
* Front End Supervisors do not have the right to terminate other associates without the approval of Store Manager & Human Resource Department at home office.
* Supports Store Manager in the administrative functions of the drivers and the collection team including and not limited to reviewing Geotab, distribution and collection of driver route information
* Customer Service - Meet customer needs with a smiling face and remember that the customer always comes first. Always make our customers know that they are important and special to us. Handle all customer questions and concerns.
* Ensures company records are completed, organized, retained and safeguarded in accordance with company policy and procedure and applicable laws.
* Ensuring standards are met on all levels from each department OSHA, compliance with EEOC, and DOT.
* Ability to manage a group of 5-20 people.
* Ability to create a teamwork atmosphere throughout the store and ensure a positive work atmosphere where team member contributions are valued!
* Deal with performance concerns promptly, directly, fairly, and respectfully while maintaining a solutions based focus!
* Spend your time and time with others on what's important; quickly zero in on the critical priorities and put the trivial aside.
* Along with all your job duties, you will be required to coach and train employee’s to be the best they can be.

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
