Responsibilities

The Talent Management Program Manager (TMPM) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with talent management programs across all areas of the organization. The role assesses and anticipates talent management-related needs, communicating needs proactively with our HR team and Operational Leadership to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management that reflects the business objectives of the organization.

 

  • Design, develops, implements and evaluates the effectiveness of leadership programs to meet organizational needs. Works with operational leadership to develop strategic initiatives to achieve company goals.
  • Guides Talent Management Specialists on the design and execution of company leadership development tools and processes such as talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development sessions, or The Servant Leader newsletter publication.
  • Implements Brookdale’s talent review and performance management programs. Identifies process improvements as needed.
  • Utilizes innovative practices, research, insight, experience and understanding of the needs and culture of Brookdale to develop and deliver leadership, communication, performance and other talent related initiatives.
  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of best practices in all areas of talent management.
  • Facilitates the talent management and succession planning process in partnership with HR Business Partners. Provides training to HR colleagues for conducting talent reviews. Analyzes and reports talent data for senior leadership.
  • Acts as the liaison with the HR Business Partners and operational leadership to ensure effective implementation of talent management initiatives for an operating division.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field is required.
  • Minimum of five years’ work experience in talent management/organizational development is required.
  • Additional years of related work experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special RequirementsCertification in organizational development practices highly preferred (e.g. 360 coaching, change management, instructional design, and organizational design).

     

    Management/Decision MakingUses strong analytic skills and an in-depth understanding of the organization and the business in order to handle arising problems and issues. Solves diverse problems using solid analytical skills where limited precedents/guidelines exist.

     

    Knowledge and SkillsWorking knowledge of talent management disciplines, including succession planning, performance management, leadership development, coaching, engagement, change management, team effectiveness, organizational design.
