The Social Media Coordinator’s primary role is to implement and manage The Paramount’s social media accounts across multiple platforms, effectively communicating in the company’s voice to its followers, and growing that following. This position is responsible for developing creative content, promoting marketing campaigns, and cultivating relationships that grow the company's online and community presence. Social Media Coordinator’s Responsibilities
Includes but are not limited to the following:
- Expand our social media reach and maximize brand awareness
- Maintain a multi-platform social media schedule of content and posts
- Assist with content creation; primarily photography/videography and coming up with creative captions
- Oversee social media engagement and communicate guest issues to management
- Promote, attend, and document all events
- Assists with implementation and execution initiatives and promotions.
- Introduce new ideas, marketing practices, platforms, and applications
- Self-starter who proactively searches for creative partnerships and new forms of guest interaction beyond the four walls
- Commenting on and liking relevant accounts.
- Assists with developing promotional flyers and weekly marketing emails
- Champions all standards, policies and procedures
- Stays on top of social media functionality changes and implements in a timely manner
- Communicates influencer requests to PR team & management
- Fields requests from our PR companies or external media to ensure prompt responses
- Ensures the department is working within budget and adjusts expenditures according to revenues.
- Reviews the effectiveness of social media and outreach campaigns; suggesting appropriate adjustments.
- Displays leadership in hospitality, exemplifies excellent customer service and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
- Maintains customer satisfaction to ensure retention and growth of business through referrals and repeat business.
- Communicates effectively and consistently with all property and event departments.
- Maintains a strong working relationship with virtual guests, vendors and competitors.
- Ensuring that content on websites and review platforms is current and accurate.
Minimum Requirements:
- Design School or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong Understanding of Adobe products, Microsoft and similar products
- Strong familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, Google, Youtube and TikTok, hootsuite
- Has a maintained contact list of influencers
- A wide range of music, art and pop culture knowledge
- Basic math and computer skills
- Experience in social media management
- Ability to work with a team and maintain open-mindedness
- Ability to multi-task with great attention to detail, handle stress under pressure, remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills with excellent customer service abilities
- Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time with minimal supervision

Physical and Environmental Demands
- Flexibility in schedule, availability to work nights, weekends, holidays or as business dictates
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs
- Ability to move quick and carefully in narrow and confined spaces.
- Ability to freely access all areas of the restaurant including dining room floor, outside cafe, kitchen, prep area, washrooms, etc.
- Work Hours: 16-18 hours per week (4- 4 hour shifts plus 2 engagement hours or 2- 8 hour shifts and 2 hours of engagement hours off site)
