What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Aide- PRN position at Brookridge A Thrive More Community?
Brookridge is currently seeking a PRN laundry aide to produce an adequate supply of clean garments and linens through appropriate use of laundry equipment and the observance of infection control procedure, other policies and regulations related to the laundry department.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Covid-19 vaccination Required.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred.
- General knowledge of acceptable laundry practices and procedures, with the ability and willingness to learn on the job.
- Be a minimum of 18 years old.
- Must be able to use the English language to satisfy the communications and record keeping requirements involved in the performance of this job position with out without reasonable accommodation.
- Must maintain neat, well groomed appearance adhering to dress code of the facility.
- Must be able to safely perform all essential job functions without harm to self or others with or without reasonable accommodation.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES AND DUTIES
- Sort soiled linen sheets, towels, personal clothes, blankets, spreads.
- Load washer with proper amount of linen per load. Set washer for proper load, size and type.
- Unload washers when completed cycle and load in dryer with proper dial setting, heat, and cooling cycle. Reload washer is needed.
- Unload dryers, fold or hang up appropriate articles.
- Sweep or mop floors daily and keep all work areas clean.
- Clean dryer filters daily, including weekends.
- Take up linen carts on 5th, 6th,7th floors and return carts, to be filled each morning, back to laundry.
- Restock linen carts daily.
- Take evening supplies before leaving each day on nursing care floors and 5th floor.
- Before leaving each day, turn off lights and appropriate appliances, lock up.
- Maintains a steady work pace to produce an adequate supply of clean garments and linens.
