Job Summary:
Utilizes unique design aesthetic and signature style to create beautiful floral arrangements. Promotes sales, fulfills orders, and ensures top-tier customer service. Manages the floral department, leads and trains partners, and maintains department profitability. SCOPE OF WORK Displays a list of typical duties and accountabilities. List is not based on order of priority.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Works in conjunction with upper management to train and develop partners, schedule, plan, assign, and directwork.
•Reviews historical data to predict future sales from ads and promotions. Manages inventory using itemmanagement processes to ensure satisfactory in-stock levels. Reviews profit and loss, sales, shrink, and labordata; provides verbal or written summary to upper management regarding any related issues.
•Accountable for floral sales, labor, and meeting financial and profitability objectives.
•Utilizes high degree of creativity and floral design knowledge to create stylish floral and plant arrangements thatappeal to a variety of customers.
•Provides consultations to customers regarding price and type of floral arrangements desired from small-scalearrangements to large-scale events.
•Oversees the in-stock and proper maintenance of plants, including the cutting, cleaning, and storage. Utilizesknowledge of flower and plant sustainability to ensure lasting quality and freshness of products.
•Leads the planning, ordering, and sourcing of products to ensure in-stock conditions and inventory control of thefloral department.
•Builds product displays for special events, holidays, and promotions for customer appeal and to promote sales.
•Monitors and manages department shrink by utilizing current tools and processes.
•Makes recommendations to category management regarding the procurement based on knowledge of floralproducts.
•Promotes environment of customer focus and proactive selling techniques.
•Provides friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions andensuring customer complaints are addressed appropriately and in a timely manner.
•Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safetyprocedures.SKILLS AND EDUCATION
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Advanced knowledge of floral department operations.
•Strong knowledge of flowers, handling, and design techniques required.
•Intermediate knowledge of budget planning, profit and loss statements, labor reports, and other financialstatements.
•Intermediate knowledge of automated reporting systems including, but not limited to, inventory, cost of goods,scheduling, time and attendance, and labor.
•Ability to lead, motivate, and delegate responsibilities.
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.

• Ability to effectively communicate (in written and verbal form) with partners and customers. Ability to remain professional and courteous with customers at all time.
• Ability to use precision hand tools.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and practice proper time management.
• Ability to conduct on-the-job training, instruct in use of tools or equipment, and demonstrate procedures.
• Ability to perform basic Microsoft Office functions.
• Basic mathematical skills for assessing inventory and ordering.
• Ability to promote sales and negotiate prices.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
• High school Diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
• Minimum of 21 years of age required.
