Unarmed Security Officer

Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, and property. This is a vital role in ensuring the overall safety and protection of our organization.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, violence, or other illegal activities
- Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas
- Conduct regular security checks of premises to identify any potential security breaches or hazards
- Respond promptly to alarms or calls for assistance and take appropriate action
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and vendors with inquiries or concerns
- Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain order and ensure compliance
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities

Experience:
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military is preferred
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques
- Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
- Familiarity with first aid and CPR procedures is a plus
- Understanding of loss prevention strategies and techniques

Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Alabama State Security Officer certificate/license
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills

-Must also possess an unexpired Drivers License

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
