What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook-Event position at Broward Center for the Performing Arts - Job Board?
Pay: $15 per hour.
A day in the life…
- Assist the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage on all facets of daily operations, production needs, daily responsibilities, preparation methods and presentation style.
- Implement quality portion and garnishing to maintain food costs as set by the Executive Chef.
- Implement and maintain sanitation as set forth in the local, state and Federal health department codes.
- Prepare specialty foods and sauces according to recipe and specific method applications.
- Assists other line employees with daily responsibilities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Follow the outlined dress code, personable & professional demeanor.
- Schedule flexibility, evenings and weekends and holidays as events requires.
- Able to lift and carry at least 20 pounds and work standing on feet, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling and squatting for several hours.
- Will possess specific vision abilities required by this job that include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
