Supervises and provides scheduling functions for the nursing staff at the Community Treatment Center (CTC).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Under the direction of the Director of Nursing Hospital and Nursing Home, provides and supervises scheduling services for nursing staff at the CTC.
Enters scheduling information into the Kronos and Advanced Scheduler system.
Provides administrative support to the Director of Nursing Hospital and Nursing Home.
Communicates clearly and effectively over the phone, in person, and in writing with caregivers and members of the management team.
Facilitates coordination of performance evaluations for nursing staff with nursing administration.
Facilitates tracking of absenteeism of facility staff to include the notification to appropriate supervisors as to the need for disciplinary action.
Drafts and sends out monthly reports to appropriate supervisor in areas concerning facility staff which need immediate attention - i.e., performance appraisals, attendance issues.
Works with Human Resources regarding the status of filling vacancies.
Approves vacation leaves for nursing staff based on staffing ratios.
Participates in administrative meetings including department managers.

ComputerEducation and Experience:
Associate degree and/or 3 years of scheduling experience preferred. Experience in a hospital/nursing home operation or any combination of education, training and experience.Knowledge of policies, procedures, regulations and laws governing the Community Treatment Center.
Knowledge of and ability to utilize a computer and the required software, including word processing, spreadsheet and database function.
Ability to interpret union contracts and scheduling guidelines.
Ability to type at a minimum rate of 40 net words per minute.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations for accurate record keeping and report generation.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, officials and the public.
Ability to provide direction to others.
Ability to coordinate multiple problems and projects concurrently.
Ability to organize and maintain information and materials efficiently.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to problem solve effectively.
Ability to organize and effectively deliver written and oral presentations.
Ability to work effectively with local, state and federal regulatory agencies.
