Job Details
Summary: The Operations Manager oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of products and goods. They ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and inventory. SCHEDULED TO WORK SUNDAY - THURSDAY 11AM - 7:30PM
Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Res Repsonsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met;
- Training staff and monitoring their performance and progress;
- Communicating with other departments, staff groups and customers;
- Overseeing product control and processing orders;
- Ensuring quality, delivery and budget objectives are met;
- Delivering and fulfilling objectives and directions from the GM;
- Carrying out responsibilities for the use of automated and computerized systems;
- Responding to and dealing with internal and external customer communication by email, fax and telephone;
- Keeping product control systems up to date and planning future capacity requirements;
- Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis;
- Briefing team leaders on the issues for that particular day;
- Ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment;
- Overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment.

- Must have some previous supervisory experience
- Ability to lift 40 pounds frequently.
- Walking and standing on a frequent and possibly prolonged basis
- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb and balance on a regular basis
- Ability to motivate and lead staff
- Good communication skills
