SENIOR MANUFACTURING ENGINEER - MANITOU, LANSING, MI We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who will report to the Industrial Engineer Supervisor, and who'll be tasked with supporting the Manitou plant manufacturing operations. As part of your role, you'll be significantly contributing to the organization's growth. You'll be at the forefront of bringing a wide range of new products to BRP. YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: The Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer works closely with the operations team to improve manufacturing efficiencies and reduce overall cost. You will support the New Product Development (NPD) Manufacturing Team with data to develop safe, efficient, and quality-focused process flows. Manufacturing Engineering responsibilities across the plant, including the following activities: safety, quality, cost reduction/cost out projects, developing and maintaining production standards, and standard work * Support CAD programmer with nesting of Fabrication equipment * Assist in the coordination of the capital spending program, continuous improvement (quality / efficiency) and cost out initiatives * Experience with tool and machine design to support the project work * Own, prepare, and support all production standard work instructions (SWI's) and conduct FMEA reviews * Utilize Continuous Improvement Framework Tool to drive continuous improvements * Design and improve layout of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency and safety * Analyze and evaluate existing systems and processes, identifying value-added and non-value-added activities to solve manufacturing challenges * Support New Product/Process Development (NPD) * Work cross-functionally between production, quality, and development to influence new product designs and drive DFM principles * Prepare documentation for manufacturing processes or engineering procedures * Other duties as assigned YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: Required: * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical) or higher * 5 years of related engineering experience * Computer skills: 2D/3D design using AutoCAD and Creo, or equivalent * Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time study, and process balancing * CNC Nesting and experience with Laser/Plasma/Router
Preferred: * ProModel simulation experience a plus * Must be independent, self-motivated, and possess strong organizational skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Must be willing to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment Does this sound like you?
