BRP is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician at our castings facility in Spruce Pine, NC.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Work closely with operations and engineering teams to address equipment-related action items through repair and maintenance
- Work with production in prioritizing breakdowns
- Monitor and maintain 5-S
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Establish and maintain communication with other team members and support departments
- Be proactive with potential problems before they turn into breakdowns
- Use time effectively to complete as much work as possible within the shift
- Log in work orders into Guide system on a daily basis
- Efficiently perform lock-out/tag-out procedure
- Promote and model safe behavior throughout the facility
- Promote and model BRP values
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED along with a minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience or related (construction, millwright). Will also consider those with training certificates in Machinist or Industrial Maintenance OR an Associate’s degree along with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Above experience should include: Mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical & electronic troubleshooting knowledge or skills.
Preferred:
- Ability to safely work with all equipment
- Database entry competency
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work independently and with little guidance
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
- Good attendance record
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing/industrial facility equipment
- Knowledge of PLC logic/controllers and frequency drives
Work schedule: Training will be for approximately the first 90 days and the schedule will be 4:30pm - 3:00am Monday through Thursday. After the training period, the new hire's schedule will be 4:30pm through 3:00am Tuesday through Friday. Then, beginning in the Spring of 2024, this person's schedule will transition to weekend nights, which will be Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 5:00pm through 5:00am.
