PPS is seeking a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for driving growth and expanding business opportunities in the Public and Private Sector markets. This role involves preparing for and attending trade shows, managing CRM systems, securing speaking opportunities for Sr. Leadership, engaging in and closely tracking outreach efforts, and working with the executive leadership team to develop new partnerships. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, have experience in business development, a keen understanding of the industry, willingness to travel for events frequently, and the ability to manage all correspondence. This position will be located in-office in Destin, Florida.

- Prepare for and attend regional and National trade shows.
- Represent the company, network with industry professionals, and gather market intelligence.
- Maintain and update the CRM system, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Follow up with leads and contacts to nurture relationships and drive business opportunities.
- Identify and secure appearances or speaking opportunities for Sr. Leadership.
- Collaborate with marketing to enhance visibility in the industry.
- Schedule and coordinate new engagement introductions with the PPS executive leadership team.
- Facilitate meetings and follow up on action items to ensure successful outcomes.
- Conduct research on SAM.gov and ARC for potential business opportunities.
- Engage with industry organizations, such as American Clean Power, to stay informed on trends and opportunities.
- Assist with updates to the company website, ensuring that the portfolio reflects current projects and capabilities.
- Research upcoming industry events and manage registration for relevant company representatives.
- Ensure the company is well-represented at key industry gatherings.
- Manage all correspondence related to business development activities, ensuring timely and professional communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in business development or a similar role.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other business development tools.
- Strong understanding of both Federal and Renewable Energy sectors.
- Strong writing skills
