FDH is a leading global distributor of aerospace parts and materials to the OEM and Aftermarket segments. Our business is built on relationships with key suppliers and focused on providing exceptional customer service.
The Manager, Warehouse will be responsible for all aspects of the warehouse operation and assume day-to-day responsibilities. Operational areas of responsibility may include but are not limited to: Receiving, Quality, Stocking, Picking, Shipping, and Inventory Management.
Responsibilities:
- Cooperate with customer quality inspectors to complete the quality acceptance process
- Maintain warehouse staff training employees, as well as, monitor performance and progress
- Ensure compliance with federal/state/local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements
- Ensure processes for packing, staging, and loading of product is optimized in support of meeting customer ship dates
- Ensure all required paperwork for each shipment is complete and that retention of all required documents are filed appropriately
- Ensure validation of receipts is conducted and discrepancies responded to in a timely manner
- Ensure the timely return of rejected materials to the supplier
- Ensure that all products that are shipped from suppliers are received in a timely manner based on standard procedures
- Implement policies and procedures; audit and update periodically based on continuous improvement
- Ensure metrics are tracked and reported daily to include but not limited to timely and accurate transactions: receipt, put-away, customer on-time shipments, internal delivery, inventory accuracy and productivity
- Pick, repack and ship according to customer needs
- Use the company's ERP system to complete the above receipt and shipment processes and warehouse inventory management to ensure that the accounts and materials are consistent
- Inventory is regularly inventoried and coordinated with irregular customs inventory audits
- Optimize warehouse management processes
- Use certain supply management, safety stock management knowledge, do a good job of safety stock early warning
- Cooperate with and complete other tasks in line with the company's overall goals and the arrangements of superior leaders
- Work in conjunction with Sales and Purchasing to meet company’s strategic and tactical objectives
- Coordinate with vendors and carriers to ensure shipping methods and materials are established and maintained
- Participate in leadership and team building events
- Partner with HR and EHS/Facilities to ensure that labor and safety protocols are adhered to
- Be responsible for identify and leading new opportunities for the business
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, supply chain, logistics or related field; or equivalent experience
- 3 years’ experience in Warehouse management
- Experience in picking, packing and creating orders
- Must have warehouse management and import and export knowledge
- Must have working knowledge of inventory practices and general aerospace requirements regarding same
- Additional skills in inventory management and quality management, etc., is preferable
- Proactive problem solver and strong analytical skills with demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills
- Creating & printing shipping labels (FedEx, UPS)
- Comfortable working in a team setting
- Must be computer savvy and learn company proprietary software programs
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications
- Must have organization skills
- Must be able to lift 20lbs
- Highly skilled in engaging teams to deliver results in a rapidly changing environment
- Successful track record for building, and maintaining, strong internal and external customer relationships
- Demonstrate ability to exercise sound judgment and make timely business decisions
- Intermediate to advanced computer and business proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to meet deadlines quickly and accurately, multi-task, and work well under pressure with changing priorities
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 annually
