If so, this may be the role for you! Whitewater Eye Centers is looking for a Clinic Director to manage the clinical department, overseeing technicians, scribes, diagnostic testing staff, and other clinical staff members. This role works in tandem with the physicians and various teams to ensure optimal efficiency and a “one-team” approach.
Whitewater Eye Centers is a full-service ophthalmic practice that offers advanced vision care, including medical and surgical eye care, in Richmond and the surrounding areas.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience as a clinical director or other managerial position.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in an ophthalmic practice.
- Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) technician certification (COA or COT) required.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- People management skills to lead, coach, and mentor employees; passionate about culture-building.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, resourcing, and performance evaluation procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of clinical standards and regulations within ophthalmology.
- Proficient in Electronic Health Records and computer systems (e.g., patient management software).
- Ability to develop technician training program and assist in teaching clinical staff.
- Operational expertise to identify opportunities for efficiency and to streamline processes and protocols.
- Aptitude in resolving issues and conflicts and in managing change.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong organization with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management of clinical staff across locations.
- Oversight of training for clinical staff.
- Clinic operations and efficiency.
- Protocol consolidation and implementation.
- Quality assurance.
- Program implementation (internal patient education, community outreach, marketing initiatives).
- Administrative (troubleshooting, mediating, monthly meetings, etc.).
The starting base salary range for this position is $75,000, with an upper range dependent upon skills and experience.
