What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Technician position at BTD (Current)?

Summary: Maintains all the office and related areas of the building in a clean and orderly condition.
AFETY IS # 1 AT BTD:
Our expectations is that every employee: 1) strictly follows safety policies, rules and safe work methods. 2) promptly corrects or reports safety hazards or unsafe conditions. Promptly reports injuries for prompt diagnosis and treatment. 3) makes regular suggestions for safety process improvements to support continuous improvement in safety. Actively participates in a safety process or project such as the safety committee, safety inspections, etc.
Essential Functions:
1. Performs general janitorial and related duties as assigned.
2. Empties all trash containers throughout the building.
3. Performs routine, light manual work in cleaning offices, general purpose rooms, halls and restrooms using equipment such as floor sweepers, polishers, vacuum cleaners and dusters.
4. Maintains accurate inventory and replenishes cleaning supplies and paper products. Submits requisitions/reorder tags to maintain inventory.
5. Cleans windows and blinds throughout the building.
6. Maintains all recycling containers (paper and aluminum) as required.
7. Maintains all cleaning equipment and custodial supplies in a neat and orderly fashion.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED Graduation from high school (or equivalent) At least one year of related custodial experience.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. General knowledge of janitorial, custodial and light maintenance activities.
2. Ability to perform routine custodial activities in an effective, efficient manner.
3. Ability to understand, follow and issue routine oral and written instructions.
4. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
5. Ability to perform custodial duties in a manner which reflects BTD’s high standards to customers.
