What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant General Counsel - Power and Controls (Remote) position at BU_HS, Raytheon Technologies?
Primary Responsibilities:
- Represents company on internal and external legal issues
- Provides a full range of legal advice and services.
- Offers general legal counsel on a wide range of issues.
- Executes a variety of complex and specialized legal activities in accordance with the established standards of the legal profession to protect the organization's reputation and business interests and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Provides consultation and advice to senior client leadership on business transactions, liability claims, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, legal rights and obligations or other areas such as government contracts.
- Consults with senior executive leadership and external counsel on matters of strategic importance.
- Interprets complex laws, rulings, and regulations and provides expertise to individuals and businesses on legal issues to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct internal investigations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited institution and 7 years of experience
- Admission to the bar of at least 1 US state with the ability to be admitted as In-House Counsel.
- Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks.
- Must have a business-oriented, pragmatic approach to challenges that arise in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a US Citizen
